Personality Information: Likes, Dislikes, Habits and Traits:
Hobbies: He enjoys spending time alone, especially near water (riding a boat or just sitting on a shore), painting, reading and singing and/or playing instruments. He sometimes attends rakugo shows, or any other theatrical play since he loves acting.
Mannerisms: He is easily irritated and also easily embarrassed. When embarrassed or shy, he will hide his mouth with his sleeve and look to a side. He’ll also easily blush when people compliment him. When angry he’d most likely place his hands on his hips (totally looking like an angry mommy XD), when happy he would give a warm smile that resembles the way his mother smiles.
Likes: Salty and sour foods, art in all of its forms, sea animals and plants, clean environment, cuddling, generally aesthetically beautiful things.
Dislikes: Sweet and spicy foods, messy or polluted environment and people who made it like that, predator land animals, people who don’t appreciate art, are lazy, and generally closed-minded, scars or any kind of deformation (it’s more like a phobia for him), awkward silence.

Life Goals: Leading a peaceful life with his loved ones, after retirement. Becoming an actor.

Personality:

Utaro is a very rational person.
Considering the fact that he didn’t spend a lot of time with new people during his childhood, he grew up to be kind of unaware of emotions. He would basically mix them and he’s rarely sure of what exactly he’s feeling.

Lately he’s getting better at distinguishing his emotions!

He is an introvert and would rarely strike up the conversation first. But if the other person starts talking to him, he’ll feel obligated to keep the conversation going, as he hates awkward silence.
Even though he hates people who are closed-minded, he might sometimes act so, too, because he tends to be judgmental when it comes to certain topics (Kitsuneee).

He gets easily irritated. He won’t turn violent though, you might not even realize that he’s angry since he’ll try to play it cool. If he’s very irritated or angry, it will be visible on his facial expression. He’ll turn “violent” and start yelling if you completely piss him off which happens rarely due to his good self-control.

Utaro likes to cuddle with people, but that applies mostly to his family members. Considering his introverted behavior, he’ll have a hard time opening up to the point of actually letting someone touch him or cuddle with him.

He tends to give advice to people a lot. Though due to people mostly react bad to it, he tries not to.

Trivia:

- He likes to play with make up! His mother is an actress in the theater and he always liked how she transforms into another character with makeup and her acting skills, so he tried to copy her!
- Utaro never had friends as a child, both due to the vow and due to his sister behavior. Therefore he finds meeting people very awkward at first. He gets easily overwhelmed.
After getting to know person better, he will become more "himself" since he'll feel comfortable around that person.
- He is bisexual, though he is still slightly more interested in guys.
- He is really interested in how human brain functions, as well as human emotions!
- Utaro's dominant hand is left, but he can use both.
- He's just a backup actor, since his main job is being a shinobi, therefore theater director made him just a backup (meaning if some actor can't play Utaro jumps in if he has free time). Kanade is the person who arranged this. Also, Utaro likes to give free tickets to his theater play whenever possible. He usually can bring only one person for free, per play.
- Utaro was bullied during academy, and some of the comments were made about his teeth, that's why Utaro, for the longest time had issues with showing his teeth, so he hid his mouth with his hand while laughing. In most recent days he is growing to like them as he finds them useful, though his habit of hiding his teeth stayed.
- Utaro has Ainu pattern tattoo on both of his arms, however he covers them up with bandages.

Backstory:
His family consists of his father Yasuro (43), mother Kanade (39), and sister Nejime (13). His father is ambitious shinobi, and a strict parent, that works very hard to gain as much experience and shinobi skill during his life. His mother is a civilian, and she is an actress which was always her dream. Utaro follows his mother’s principals more than his father’s, which sometimes causes his father’s disappointment. Compared to Utaro, his sister, Nejime is far more interested in becoming a shinobi like her father is. She is trying her best in impressing her father by extreme training and commitment! Sometimes, when Utaro doesn’t show much passion while they train his father would say disappointedly: “One day your sister will suppress you! And that day is coming soon!”, trying to make Utaro feel guilty or embarrassed that the girl 7 years younger than him is almost the same level as he is. Luckily that doesn’t bother him (well… it does sometimes, when he starts feeling lonely and depressed). He is very aware of his lacking and he is working on it as much as he thinks he can and need. Even though his father thinks of him as lazy, absent-minded and spoiled, he is not! He is hardworking, especially at the fields that interest him the most; he does daydream sometimes but he doesn’t live in some unrealistic world, since he is a realist and is very aware of what he can and cannot become; and lastly he is not spoiled, he just sometimes feel lonely and wants attention from his loved ones (as I mentioned before, he likes cuddling).

His mother is the person that supports his dedication to acting carrier – not because she is an actress, but because she wants her child to do what he loves the most. Unlike her, his father is more likely to push him into shinobi carrier and not even care if he wants it or not. His sister doesn’t like to butt in this kind of topics, since she would like her brother to be both! She loves her brother the most and he is her role model when it comes to behaving (though she is not anything like him). She has a “big brother complex” and wants to be the only person in his brother’s life. She hates to see him hanging out with his friends and loved ones – she will get extremely jealous and try everything in her power to distract his brother from his friends. Nejime hates everyone that Utaro holds dear (except their parents), and will act rude towards them whenever she sees them, when her brother is not around. Another reason that she trains hard is that she can impress her brother! She idolizes him and loves to get praised from him, even if it’s the smallest thing. She also thinks that father might stop pushing Utaro so much if she does her best. Another irony of her idolization is that she doesn’t realize that she is actually doing complete opposite! Even though Utaro loves her very much and holds her dear, he tends to feel lonely and depressed, since his friends are not being able to reach him, or sometimes leave him due to his sisters overreacting. When he feels like that he is usually quiet around his family (he might sometimes talk to his mother, but he doesn’t like to bother her since she is very busy) and opens up only to his closest friends. But he doesn’t get depressed so easily now when he’s grown up! That happened more during his childhood when he was expected to spend more time with his sister rather than his friends due his parents’ busy life. In that period of time, his parents would even get mad at him if he chose to spend time with his friends and not taking his sister with him!

Since he was supposed to look after his sister most of his free time, he got very skilled at cooking and cleaning! He doesn’t like to cook as much but he is a bit obsessed with cleaning. He loves his environment clean all the time, so when something is messy, even in someone else’s house, he won’t hesitate to clean it up, plus he’ll probably scold that person for not respecting their house and leaving it dirty. He won’t do that in the house of his seniors, though, since he will probably end up scolded by the seniors, which will soon reach his parents, and then he’ll be scolded and punished by his father. About cooking, he always tries to eat and cook healthy. He will probably scold his friends if they have unbalanced diet and try to help them or even cook for them.

I mentioned that he likes to wear makeup. But at his childhood he also liked to play dress up! He would play with his mother, whom he practiced acting with. He sometimes, even dressed up as a girl and went outside, trying to mess up with his friends. His father didn’t like that idea, since he thought of it as making fool of himself, his family and clan. That’s why he wasn’t allowed to do that often, but when he had a chance he would no doubt use it! Even he’s a grown up now, he won’t hesitate to mess with your mind, playing a girl when he has a chance (though that happens rarely). He will have no problem doing that for the sake of completing mission; on the contrary, he will enjoy doing that.

Utaro was much more warm and friendly as a child, but due to his lack of free time to spend with people other than his family members, he grew cold and introvert. He also tends to be strict to other people (as mention earlier).

He discovered his phobia of scars and body deformation after his father lost an eye, and twisted his arm in battle (his eye is not removed, he’s just can’t see through that eye). After that, whenever he’s around people with scars or body deformation, he would feel pretty uneasy and will try his best to get away from there as fast as he can.

Utaro's father Yasuro, Nanase's father as well as Ame's mother were teammates and childhood friends from academy. Therefore Utaro, Nanase and Ame are 'family friends'. Even so, Utaro and Ame haven't met through their parents, but after he told his father that he met a girl called Ame, his father realized that it's a daughter of his friend which made him happy. Nanase and Utaro did in fact met through their fathers when they stopped to talk to each other. Regardless of them being 'family friends' they didn't actually get to know each other much, well at least Utaro didn't get to know them much, since he was constantly busy with rigorous training that his father provided him, therefore, they actually became friends when they grew up!
